Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 10, 2026

1. Eligibility and Geographic Restrictions

1.1 Residency

The Services are currently available exclusively to residents of Canada who reside outside the province of Quebec. By accessing or using GlucoRevert, you represent and warrant that you are not a resident of Quebec and that your primary residence is located in a Canadian province or territory other than Quebec (the "Rest of Canada").

1.2 Void in Quebec

The Services are void where prohibited by law. Due to specific local regulations (including but not limited to the Charter of the French Language and the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector), GlucoRevert does not currently offer services, support, or data storage to persons located within Quebec.

1.3 Termination for Misrepresentation

GlucoRevert Canada Inc. reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account without refund if we discover, through IP geolocation, billing address verification, or other means, that you are accessing the Services from Quebec or have misrepresented your residency.

1.4 Language

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm your express wish that this Agreement and all related documents be drawn up in English only. Par la présente, vous confirmez votre volonté expresse que cet accord et tous les documents connexes soient rédigés en anglais seulement.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GlucoRevert, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

3. Service Description

GlucoRevert is a digital health platform designed to support individuals with prediabetes (HbA1c 6.0%-6.4%) in achieving metabolic health goals through:

Food logging and tracking
Continuous glucose monitoring integration
AI-powered insights and recommendations
Educational content

IMPORTANT: GlucoRevert is NOT a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult with your healthcare provider before making health decisions.

4. Additional User Requirements

In addition to the geographic restrictions in Section 1, you must:

Be 18 years or older
Have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
Provide accurate registration information
Not misrepresent your province of residence

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We comply with:

Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
Provincial privacy legislation
Emerging AI regulations (Bill C-27 - Artificial Intelligence and Data Act)

Cloud Infrastructure and Data Residency

GlucoRevert Canada Inc. utilizes Amazon Web Services (Canada) for data storage and Google Cloud Platform (Canada) for image processing. All personal health information remains encrypted within Canadian borders.

Our hybrid cloud architecture ensures:

Primary Data Storage: Amazon Web Services (AWS) ca-central-1 region (Montreal) for all user accounts, health data, and food logs
AI Image Processing: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) northamerica-northeast1 region (Montreal) for food photo analysis using Gemini AI
Canadian Data Residency: All processing occurs exclusively within Canada
Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
Anonymization: Food photos sent to GCP are anonymized - all personal identifiers and metadata are stripped before transmission

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate health information
Use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
Not share your account credentials
Consult healthcare professionals for medical advice
Not rely solely on the Service for health decisions

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality are owned by GlucoRevert Canada Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

Accuracy of nutritional information
Specific health outcomes
Uninterrupted service availability
Error-free operation

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLUCOREVERT CANADA INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Health outcomes or medical decisions
Data loss or security breaches beyond our control
Third-party service failures

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account:

For violation of these Terms
For fraudulent activity
At our discretion with notice

You may terminate your account at any time through account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, excluding Quebec.
